Service Description

birth. The class provides evidence based information about labor, delivery, and the early postpartum period, while creating space for questions, reflection, and practical preparation. Participants will learn about the stages of labor, comfort measures, pain management options, communication with care providers, and making informed decisions throughout the birth process. The course also covers what to expect in the immediate postpartum period, including emotional and physical recovery and early newborn care. This class is appropriate for first time parents, those preparing for another birth, partners, family members, and individuals interested in birthwork. Completion of this childbirth education course is a required prerequisite for the Birth Doula Training. Classes are offered in person and virtually, with dates scheduled throughout the year.
