Train to Become a Certified Birth Doula
The Birth Doula Training is designed for individuals who want to support families through pregnancy, labor, and birth with confidence, care, and informed presence. This training focuses on the role of the birth doula, practical skills, and the emotional and advocacy based support doulas provide during one of life’s most significant transitions.
Participants will explore the responsibilities and scope of a birth doula, comfort measures for labor, communication and advocacy skills, supporting informed decision making, and maintaining professional boundaries. The training also addresses the realities of birthwork, including sustainability, ethics, and community based care.
This training is appropriate for those pursuing doula work, expanding their birthwork skills, or deepening their understanding of labor support.
Completion of the Childbirth Education (CBE) course is required prior to attending Birth Doula Training.Childbirth Education is offered as a separate course and must be completed before the start of BDT.
Birth Doula Training is offered in person and virtually, with sessions scheduled throughout the year.
